transmusicalles illuminates a star: bauchklang.
no exaggeration and no mistake possible. rennes was it where a tremendous supernova made its explosive apparition before our eyes and ears. until the day before yesterday, the advanced viennese pregnancy was at best known to ceratin circles of astrophysicians, but after their scorching flight through a brimful Liberté, the blinding luminosity of bauchklang is a
worldwide topic.

it is an old and noble branch of the pop-cosmos, into which bauchklang integrate themselves. related to the music of the corsican tavern, the swinging world of the vocal- and "bird groups" of the fifties, to the blossom of jazzy scat song, to the last peaks of the work with human voice - from bobby mcferrin over meredith monk to laurie anderson - related to all manifestations of this music, to all instruments. the six guys from bauchklang manage to be the closing of the circle. and to plus that, too: the human voice here is not only the best instrument, but the mightiest and most precise of machines, perfect substitute for electronically generated beats and infrabass-lines which are put together to an authentic acoustic and visual hallucination of an unequalled rhythmic energy. bauchklang neither imitate nor satirize instruments; they dedicate themselves to the discovery and performance of the infinite variety of the sound of human voice. their work includes, besides the musical ones, circensic and funny aspects as well. electronic music has encountered a star-formation, in which only six voices are plugged in. even more impressive: their vocal bomb dive drives the audience to a frenzy, inflaming the crowd into complete madness. to see is to believe.
